Welcome to Texas Tech University-Costa Rica!

Here at Texas Tech-CR we encourage and value our student's efforts to continue with their education and experience the power of becoming a member of our Red Raider family.

For this reason, we are happy to announce that we are awarding need-based scholarships to undergraduates who demonstrate financial need as well as academic achievement. The objective of this scholarship is to grant an opportunity to talented students who are at a financial disadvantage and would prove to be valuable members to our Red Raider community.

The need-based scholarship will cover up to $6000 of annual tuition and can be renewed annually, for up to four years, if eligibility remains. Please read ahead and take a careful look at initial eligibility requirements and fill out the registration form to start your application process.

Go to the TTU-CR website and create an account. Once you have created your account, you may start your application through TTU's application portal.

Students who fail to make academic progress towards their degrees may have their scholarship suspended. Lack of progress entails failing below the college's acceptable GPA, deviating from the required class sequence, under-enrollment, retaking or dropping too many classes, and/or excessive class absences.
Students who are not enrolled and attending class by the first week of the semester risk the suspension of their scholarship.
Students with a lower cumulative GPA than the one required by their scholarship, will be placed in Scholarship Probation during the next semester. If by the end of the semester with Scholarship Probation, your cumulative GPA continues to be below your scholarship's requirement, your scholarship might be suspended.
Students admitted to Explore Business, Explore STEM or undeclared must declare a major after their second semester, be it the Fall or Spring term. Failure to do so might result in the suspension of their scholarship at TTU-CR.
