Welcome to Texas Tech University-Costa Rica!

We are happy to announce that we are awarding IDB-scholarships to undergraduates who demonstrate merit as well as financial need. Here at Texas Tech-CR, we want to make sure that financially disadvantaged students with exceptional talent have the opportunity to become valuable members of our Red Raider family, as well as experience all of the academic and professional advantages the university has to offer.

The IDB scholarship will cover up to $12,000 of your total tuition for up to four years, if eligibility remains. Please read ahead and take a careful look at initial requirements. Then fill out the registration form to start your application process.

Go to the TTU-CR website and create an account. Once you have created your account, you may start your application through TTU's application portal.

Students who fail to make academic progress towards their degrees may have their scholarship suspended. Lack of progress entails failing below the college's acceptable GPA, deviating from the required class sequence, under-enrollment, retaking or dropping too many classes, and/or excessive class absences.
Students who are not enrolled and attending class by the first week of the semester risk the suspension of their scholarship.
Students with a lower cumulative GPA than the one required by their scholarship, will be placed in Scholarship Probation during the next semester. If by the end of the semester with Scholarship Probation, your cumulative GPA continues to be below your scholarship's requirement, your scholarship might be suspended.
Students admitted to Explore Business, Explore STEM or undeclared must declare a major after their second semester, be it the Fall or Spring term. Failure to do so might result in the suspension of their scholarship at TTU-CR.

Fall application deadline:

July 15, 2022

Once you submit your documents, the Scholarship Committee will review them.

The committee may also ask you for a personal interview.
