RESTAURANT, HOTEL, AND INSTITUTIONAL MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Welcome to Texas Tech University-Costa Rica!

The majority of our RHIM students have job offers waiting for them at graduation. We consistently rank as one of the top hotel and restaurant management degree programs, as our students get hands-on experience and the opportunity to work in one of the world's most important eco-tourist countries. A career in this field is entry into an industry that will remain strong and continue to be one of the fastest growing in the world.

Texas Tech University-Costa Rica is awarding scholarships to students who choose to major in RHIM, beginning in Spring 2022 (January) or Fall 2022 (August).

RHIM applicants who complete their admission applications by the deadline, will be considered for a TTU-CR RHIM Scholarship. If they remain eligible academically, they can renew their scholarship for the duration of their degree program, for a four-year total of $6,000. Incoming students qualify for this scholarship.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Students who fail to make academic progress towards their degrees may have their scholarship suspended. Lack of progress entails failing below the college's acceptable GPA, deviating from the required class sequence, under-enrollment, retaking or dropping too many classes, and/or excessive class absences.

Students who are not enrolled and attending class by the first week of the semester risk the suspension of their scholarship.

Students with a lower cumulative GPA than the one required by their scholarship, will be placed in Scholarship Probation during the next semester. If by the end of the semester with Scholarship Probation, your cumulative GPA continues to be below your scholarship's requirement, your scholarship might be suspended.

Students admitted to Explore STEM or undeclared must declare a major after their second semester, be it the Fall or Spring term. Failure to do so might result in the suspension of their scholarship at TTU-CR.

Please submit your application no later than December 15, 2021.

Once your documents have been submitted, they will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee, who may ask you for a personal interview.
